The hotline is available by phone, live chat, and text messaging. All an individual has to do is call 1-800-273-8255, live chat, or text 838255, and they will automatically be connected to a qualified responder.
The service is completely FREE and most importantly, CONFIDENTIAL. The individual calling in completely controls the conversation and the information shared.
Finally, the hotline will connect the veteran or their loved one to any resources that may be helpful for them.
